Spirometry / Pulmonary Function Test

Also called :Spirometry, Pulmonary function test, Lung function test, PFT.

This is a test for the assessment of lung functions by asking the patient to blow into a nozel. The analyses consists of various capacities & volumes of the lung which aid in diagmosis and also response to treatment.

This is an important test as far as pulmonologists are concerned because chest disease progression can be followed up in an objective manner.

Restrictive
